About Us
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Leon R. Kohlmeier. I have a wonderful wife Kathleen and four children, Candice, Cara Lee, Clint and Carin Noel. Kathleen and I own LRK Roofing Systems a distributor and applicator of Conklin Roofing Products.
We are also Directors in the Conklin Company and a member of the elite Master Contractor Group in the Conklin Company. I started with the Conklin Company in 1997, because I needed to make a change in my life for myself and my family and I new that this was going to be the opportunity that would make for myself and my family the success that we wanted. Even though we made money in my agricultural and remodeling business there never seemed to be enough money to go around and we were not able to do the things that we wanted to do, such as, travel, new vehicles, new home all of those things that are the American dream.
In March of 1997 I joined the Conklin Company as an Independent Business Owner and that was the beginning of our road to success. I enrolled in the Conklin Warranty Training Certification program to get the basic knowledge of the Conklin Roofing Systems and also to meet the individuals that were successful already with their roofing businesses. This was a great help as it seemed as though everyone was willing to share and help me get started. I told Kathleen that you usually don’t find this in a conventional business. We have been very successful with this business right from the start because of all of the help I received. The plan now is to in the near future turn the roofing part of the business over to our son Clint and let him continue. Clint currently works with me in the business and runs most of the roofing projects.
Another aspect of this business is that I am able to help other contractors that want to add the Conklin Roofing products to their business and also help those individuals that want or need to make a change in their life. This allows us to meet new and interesting people all over the country. We are also able to travel to different exciting places and do the things that we never had the money to do before.
